Welcome to the Central Ohio Weather Agency. This website is the new decendant of the long-defunct Ohio State University Weather Service (OSUWS, 2014-2015), Dublin Coffman Weather Service (DCWS, 2011-2014), and Shadowclan Weather Service (SCWS, 2010-2011).
Let's start off with a couple of important things:
The Central Ohio Weather Agency is not, and is not affiliated with, the government sponsored National Weather Service. If you are seeking alerts, warnings, and forecasts issued by the united states federal government, you will find them there, not here.
The Central Ohio Weather Agency has no premium membership, no ad revenue, and relatively low traffic. It is owned and operated by a knowledgable individual with years of experience and independant study of weather phenomena to the best of his ability when he is not overly busy with his job and family. Most of the coverage and alerts issued by the COWA will therefore be limited to central Ohio, or to broader scale events affecting central Ohio. Exceptions may be made for notable special weather events. If you are seeking national weather coverage, Weather Underground, not the COWA, is your destination.
